However, the credential can be bought in different places, taking into account that only those authorised by the Cathedral of Santiago will be accepted. Here we tell you where you can get it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><\/b><b> \u00a0 <\/b> <b>Guilds of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viajeroscanallas.es\/en\/the-influence-of-santiago-apostol\/\">St. James the Apostle<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some cities such as A Coru\u00f1a, Alicante, Le\u00f3n or Madrid have Cofrad\u00edas that provide pilgrims with this pilgrim's passport. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viajeroscanallas.es\/en\/other-ways-of-doing-the-camino-de-santiago\/\">Camino de Santiago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><\/b><b> \u00a0 <\/b> <b>Authorised associations in Spain<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The credentials authorised by the S.A.M.M.I. In several countries there are these associations that offer the credential to their members. They are usually linked to the Spanish Federation of Associations of Friends of the Camino de Santiago.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><\/b><b> \u00a0 <\/b> <b>Other places<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In many hostels and parishes it is also possible to buy the credential. In addition, the Correos online shop also offers this service.<\/p>\n<p>The price of the Camino de Santiago credential is symbolic, ranging from 50 cents to 2 euros. In many cases it is free of charge or provided in exchange for a donation to carry out protection and conservation activities. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viajeroscanallas.es\/en\/the-3-best-routes-to-do-the-camino-de-santiago-in-5-stages\/\">improvement of the Camino de Santiago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"como_es_la_credencial_del_peregrino\"><\/span><b>What is the pilgrim's credential like?<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This document consists of sixteen pages that open like an accordion; the first pages are a letter of introduction in which you must put your personal data and on the second page there are some explanatory instructions with relevant information to get the Compostela. On the following pages there are blank boxes that the pilgrim must fill in with the stamps that certify their passage through the different places on the Camino de Santiago.<\/p>\n<p>If you are going to carry out the <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">French Way from Sarria<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Portuguese Way of Saint James <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the summer months we recommend that you order it in advance at any of the points of sale mentioned above, as these are the busiest months on the Camino.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_custom_1713174149113\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_raw_code wpb_raw_html wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/embed?mid=1cBLpb31trmRA06mZ9ongZYQJrtxvHFE&ehbc=2E312F\" width=\"100%\" height=\"520\"><\/iframe>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"como_conseguir_la_compostela_despues_de_finalizar_el_camino\"><\/span><b>How to get the Compostela after finishing the Camino<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to receive the Compostela, the stamps on the credential must show the date on which it was stamped in order to prove that you have walked at least the last 100 km to Santiago de Compostela. When you arrive in Santiago, you must go to the Pilgrim's Office and present your credential with the corresponding stamps.
