Not only is it a nice souvenir of your adventure, but it is essential if you want to get the Compostela, the certificate that you get when you arrive at the Pilgrim's Office in Santiago.<\/p>\n<p>But it's not just a piece of paper. During your route, you will stamp it in hostels, churches, bars and other places as proof of your journey. Best in a plastic bag, so it doesn't get wet.<\/p>\n<p>Seal at least twice a day. One in the morning (where you sleep), one in the evening (where you eat or visit).<\/p>\n<p>Stamps in official places. Hostels, parishes, restaurants, souvenir shops... all of them usually have a stamp.<\/p>\n<p>Guard it like gold. Without Credencial you will not be able to access many albergues, and most importantly: you will not receive the Compostela.
