Challenge 101 kms in 24 hours: The solidarity project of Viajeros Canallas
From Viajeros Canallas We had been dreaming for more than 2 years of doing a solidarity challenge. And what better way to do it than on the Camino de Santiago. The moment has arrived. I'm going for the "Challenge 101 kms in 24h".
Now it's time to prepare hard for a complicated adventure, since is like doing almost the last 5 stages of the Camino de Santiago in only 24 hours.The route is very difficult due to its orography with its constant slopes.
Obviously, 100% of the proceeds of this project will go to the NGO we are collaborating with in this inaugural year: Children of Kenya.
When?
The day 15 April 2022.
📍 Where?
The challenge will take place in the last 101 kms of the French Way.
🤔 Why?
There are 2 important reasons why I am going to do this challenge. The first is because we sincerely believe that together we can do many great things.
And the second, simply because Viajeros Canallas, which has been organising groups on the Camino de Santiago for 6 years now, is a project that comes straight from the heart.
And there is no better tribute than to be able to do our bit each year for an NGO through a solidarity challenge. Because being able and willing is the same as doing.

NGO elected for 2022
When we asked you to help us find an NGO to donate the proceeds of this challenge, it is true that you sent us many interesting ideas and projects.
Finally we chose Niños de Kenia, an organisation created by 3 young Spaniards with the aim of helping the children of the Cannan Orphanage..
We were delighted to choose this NGO for many reasons. We were looking for a project that was not too big, close and with that authentic spirit, created from the heart.
And there is no doubt that Children of Kenya fulfils all this. Now, let's go for the challenge, are you up for it?
