It is true, from my perspective (I have already walked more than 4,400 kms on the Camino de Santiago), that embarking on this adventure is in itself a unique experience. I always encourage you to do it. You can do the Camino de Santiago alone, alone (it's definitely a very authentic experience and you're sure to meet a lot of people), or you can do it with family, friends or girlfriends.
When I launched the Scoundrel Travellers project I was very clear that the idea was to to be able to enjoy the Camino de Santiago in an authentic way. and to ensure that anyone can experience it in the same way. And that is why this project was born.
It was for this reason that I elaborated 5 basic keys for Scoundrel Travellers:
🚶🚶♀️ Do the Camino de Santiago at your leisure
I have met many people on the Camino, but many more in this project. It has been 6 years and more than 87 groups, and this has led me to learn an important lesson:
We decided to do the Camino de Santiago for many different reasons.
Some people see it as a challenge, an adventure, a different journey, a time to connect with oneself, to share an experience with friends or family, to enjoy feeling like you were at camp when you were a teenager, to meditate on an important change or decision in your life, and a host of other options.
All this added to the different personalities that I have been able to recognise in the course of my life:
People who compete with themselves and whose personal challenge is to do it in the shortest time possible and with a very sporty concept, people who love to stop for a coffee or a beer and make a stop in a bar or restaurant sharing chats and laughs, nature lovers who go at a more relaxed pace and enjoy every small town, village, landscape...
Of course, people who are either very physically prepared or the opposite.
For this reason, in Viajeros Canallas, in each group we have a responsible monitor who goes with an assistance vehicle and interacts on several occasions as well as picking up some of the companions if at some point they are injured and cannot continue the stage.
This means that each member of the group can do the Camino at their own pace, without the need to go all together or to follow a specific rhythm, as it is perfectly signposted and it is impossible to get lost.
✅ With the utmost comfort and safety
There is no doubt that this route is very safe, whether you do it alone or in a group.
It is evident that when doing the Camino de Santiago in a group, sharing stretches with companions, having the founder and expert of the Camino always close by (as the whole team is moving to Galicia). and a monitor at each stage with his vehicleready to help you at any time, always gives added security.
All this together with the comfort of always having your bed booked waiting for you and your breakfast and dinner (always in the chosen places with the guidelines of homemade and quality food) and with some recommendations of where to eat, with the same premises.
👨👩👧👦 Enjoy a group experience
I recognise that this key has exceeded all my expectations.
If you know anyone who has done the Camino with Viajeros Canallas, they can tell you about it..
It is amazing how many of the unknown travellers become friends and in some cases even "family".
Walking each stage alone, as I mentioned before, because sometimes I want to feel nature, to be with myself or with a group, but when I arrive, being able to share with my companions how the stage has gone, having a beer, a few laughs and enjoying, as we say in canallas, every moment as if it were the last, makes the experience totally unique.

👣 Viajeros Canallas is the Way of St. James
I have always felt that travelling with an expert or a person who knows the area well is a plus..
Viajeros Canallas, with so many followers both in social networks and people who have already lived experiences with us, does not make many of the trips that could easily be made (international trips, we still dream of organising a trip to Cuba or Thailand; New Year's Eve in the Canary Islands, tell me it wouldn't be cool; and an endless number of destinations).
But it is clear to us that we will not launch any other project without knowing it in detail.
That is why we only do what we know and know perfectly.
For all this, you will always have access to information and videos with recommendations of all kinds from an expert, so that you can prepare your trip to the millimetre.

😄 I'm envious to death
There are countless occasions when several of the companions who did not know each other and have coincided in one of our Camino groups, then make their own get-togethers.
Seeing photos of how they are in the Canary Islands, in some of the cities or villages of Spain, sometimes enjoying their gastronomy (with that paella, those beers and above all with those smiles and that happiness), I admit that I love it and it also makes me envious.
I don't know if they were scoundrels before or if they have become so after doing the Camino with us, but I love to see how a group of strangers are already real friends..
Don't dream your life, live your dreams.
